About the NWLC Action Center

The NWLC Action Center is an online space for you to find relevant and timely information about issues of importance to women and their families.  In building and maintaining the Action Center, NWLC has improved the way we communicate with our supporters and the ways our supporters can communicate with us. It will now be even easier for you to get involved, stay informed and take action on the issues most important to you!

If you haven’t already, we encourage you to take a look at some of our past successes, check out our most urgent alerts, and join the NWLC Advocacy Network.  As a subscriber, you’ll get periodic Advocacy Network emails -- information and urgent alerts on the issues you care about most, as well as the monthly Update, the email newsletter of the National Women’s Law Center. 

The Action Center provides some powerful tools for you to communicate with the National Women’s Law Center, key policymakers, and with other NWLC supporters.  Here’s more information about how the Action Center works:

What information is collected in the Action Center?  How is it used?
The registration forms throughout the Action Center require you to give contact information that may include name, email address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information.  We may also collect information regarding your use of the Action Center and your preferences in order to make sure we’re delivering the information that’s most relevant to you.  If you sign up for the Adovcacy Network, NWLC will use your e-mail address to contact you periodically regarding issues and activities of likely interest to you. 

Tell-A-Friend:
If you elect to use our Tell-a-Friend feature, we ask that you provide the friend's name and email address. NWLC will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting her or him to visit the Site(s). We do not store this information beyond the time its takes to send this one-time email.

Share Your Story:
If you elect to use our share your story feature and/or photos, we reserve the right to edit your story and post it online at our discretion on behalf of NWLC’s goals and activities. 

Use of "Cookies":
The Action Center uses cookies to enhance your experience. Cookies are pieces of information that some web sites transfer to the computer that is browsing that web site and are used for record-keeping purposes at many web sites. Use of cookies makes web-surfing easier by performing certain functions such as saving your passwords, your personal preferences regarding your use of the particular web site and to make sure you don't see the same ad repeatedly.
